.Review Policy: The journal follows a three-round double-blind review process, namely, the preliminary review by the responsible editor, the external review by experts (including the first review by two experts, the second review by the responsible editorial board) and the final review on the executive meeting. The details are as follows: ①Preliminary Review: the responsible editor will conduct preliminary review on the scope and content of the manuscript. All manuscripts would be tested by the Academic Misconduct Literature Check (AMLC) system. The manuscript will be immediately rejected once plagiarism is found. ②External Review: The first review is conducted by two experts corresponding to the subject of the paper, and the review process is double-blind. After the first review, each article will be sent to at least two executive editors (both of whom are deputy editors of the journal) for review. ③Final Review: the executive meeting consists of 8 experts including the editor-in-chief, deputy editor-in-chief and executive editors. The meeting will discuss each manuscript according to the comments of the first and second review, and make the final decision on the manuscript (revision and publish, re-review after revision, rejection). This review system avoids misjudgment caused by experts' personal bias and guarantees the fairness. In addition, this review system guarantees a comprehensive evaluation of the manuscript and all mistakes could be corrected
.Reviewers: Currently, there are 174 reviewing experts, mainly from domestic hospitals, dermatology and venereology prevention and treatment institutes and universities. For example, Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University, Nanfang Hospital, Southern Medical University, the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, Jiangsu Province Hospital, Union Hospital affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, the First Hospital of Chongqing, Beijing Ditan Hospital Capital Medical University etc. These dermatology and venereology scholars are all with senior professional titles.
.Editing: All authors shall be responsible for their own writing. For accepted manuscripts, the journal may make some technical or wording amendments. However, if the amendment involves a change of meaning, the editorial office will contact the authors for confirmation.
.Timing: The review process generally takes 1 ~ 3 months. Some manuscripts may be reviewed for a longer time. If the review result has not been received more than 3 months after submission, the authors can re-submit the manuscript to other journals after they confirm with the editorial office. For manuscripts that need revision and supplementary experiment, the revised manuscripts shall be returned no later than 4 months. If authors do not return the revised manuscript within 6 months, the manuscript will be regarded as being withdrawn.
.Submission by Editors: The editorial staff / editors / editorial board members should not be involved in publishing decisions on papers which they have written themselves or have been written by their family members or colleagues. Any such submission should be strictly subject to the journal’s usual editorial process. Peer review should be handled independently from the relevant author/editor and their research groups.
